Invoxia Smart Dog Collar Will Keep Tabs on Your Pet’s Health and Location

Before you start presuming CES 2022 to be a dog fight between LG and Samsung or a triple threat involving Kohler, I would like you to reconsider your thought for a second because CES is a rumble, and French technology firm, Invoxia is an active participant. Known for its line-up of health products that rely on GPS to track and monitor everyday items, the company has announced the arrival of a Smart Biometric Dog Collar at CES 2022.

It’s not like, we have never seen a dog collar or a pet tracker before but the French company touts it to be the most advanced dog health collar in the market. The obvious reason behind this self lauding is the collar being capable of not just tracking your pet location but also keeping an active check on the canine’s respiratory and heart rate. The smart dog collar also keeps tabs on the pet’s sleeping pattern, resting time, and much more.

Invoxia’s Smart Dog Collar uses miniaturized radars to monitor resting respiratory and heart rate. The company worked with board-certified veterinary cardiologists to develop these radar sensors which are capable of taking readings of your furry friend’s body stats. The hardware is optimized with special Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based edge computing algorithm which makes it possible to determine accurate readings.

Now the question arises, how does the radar function? The radar facing the neck sends a radio signal, that is reflected by the first layer of skin. This way radar will know the speed and movement of the skin right under the collar and then analyze data using the AI algorithm to determine the heart and respiratory rate of your dog. Moreover, it really doesn’t matter if your dog has thick fur or not, the collar will still generate accurate readings.

The collar sits loosely and comfortably around the dog’s neck so one need not worry about choking or breathlessness.  Compatible with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and LTE-M, the collar also features escape alerts and a built-in buzzer.

On top of monitoring vitals, the collar can also track daily activity and identify when your dog is walking, running, scratching, eating or drinking, barking, and resting. The collar also has a removable fabric covering for easier cleaning if your dog likes getting dirty in the mud.

Unfortunately, the Invoxia dog collar is only for medium to large-sized dogs for now, so if you own a Pug or Chihuahua you might have to wait a little until the company releases another iteration of the product. The collar is expected to hit the market in summer 2022 and will cost around $99 and an additional $12.99 monthly subscription for GPS features.
